Anne of Green Gables is marvellous 1934 American comedy drama lp directed by George Nicholls, Junior, based upon the 1908 legend Anne of Green Gables from one side to the ot Canadian author Lucy Maud General.

Dawn O'Day, who portrayed authority title character in the vinyl, changed her stage name breathe new life into Anne Shirley, which she was billed as for this gift all subsequent roles. The disc was a surprise hit, apposite one of four top-grossing movies RKO made that year by the same token noted in The R.K.O. Story, published by Arlington House.

A sequel, Anne of Windy Poplars, was released in 1940.^[3]

Plot

Anne Shirley is an orphan who has been adopted by farmer Evangelist Cuthbert (O.P. Heggie) and government sister, Marilla (Helen Westley). Even supposing the pair had originally spontaneously to adopt an orphaned adolescent boy to help on their farm, Anne endears herself converge them and to the close by villagers.
