Henry Eyster Jacobs (1844-1932) served as Don of Systematic Theology and Steersman of the Lutheran Seminary put the lid on Philadelphia.

He was president refreshing his church’s board of tramontane missions, and edited the Theologizer Church Review, the Lutheran Footnote, and the Lutheran Cyclopedia. Of course wrote and translated many books.
